OnePlus Nord N20 5G is the latest mid-range phone in the company’s portfolio. Unveiled on April 19, the phone brings generational improvements over the Nord N10 5G, even though the phone has arrived over one and a half years after its predecessor’s launch. The N20 5G will be exclusive to T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile in the US for its initial run. Wider availability is expected later this summer.
OnePlus Nord N20 price
The Nord N20 will retail at $282. But T-Mobile will offer monthly payment plans starting at $11.75. You can also get it for free when you add a line (via 24 months of bill credits). Sales kick off April 28 via T-Mobile website and T-Mobile stores.
At this price tag, the OnePlus Nord N20 5G will take on Samsung A-series phones, budget Motorola handsets, and TCL devices.
Nord N20 5G Specifications
The N20 5G features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ OLED screen, which is an improvement over the LCD panel of the N10. However, the phone is stuck with a 60Hz refresh rate, down from 90Hz of the N10. In terms of the processor, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, which is a mid-range SoC that debuted in Q4 2021.
There is an in-display fingerprint sensor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage, among other specifications. You will also get a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging.
In addition, the phone packs three cameras on the back, including a 64MP primary shooter and a 2MP macro camera. Finally, for your selfie needs, there is a 16MP front shooter.
Software is the biggest disappointment on the Nord N20 5G as it runs on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11. There is no word on when Android 12 may arrive, but with Android 13 around the corner, it’s frustrating to see the company launch a phone with dated software.
