Specifications
Being an entry-level, the Fire 7 has a fairly modest set of features and specifications. The tablet has a 7-inch 1024×600 pixels IPS screen, 2GB of RAM, up to 32GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot. A 2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8168V/B processor powers the tablet, and it runs on Android 11-based Fire OS 8. Fire OS doesn’t include Google services and Play Store. Instead, you get access to Amazon AppStore, which has a reasonably large collection of apps and games.
The tablet has dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and USB Type-C port in terms of connectivity. The USB-C port is also used for charging. Unfortunately, there is no fast charging support. The tablet will take around four hours to charge with the bundled 5W charger.
Lastly, there are two 2MP cameras on the tablet, one on the front and the other on the back. You can use these to make video calls, take selfies, or other photographs.
If you want a bigger screen than Fire 7’s 7-inch, Amazon also offers 8-inch Fire HD 8, and 10-inch Fire HD 10. Apart from 1GB extra RAM in the 10-inch model, all three tablets have pretty much the same specification.
